There's no new entrance exam and no interview: admission runs on the JIPMAT, CUET or JEE Main 2026 score you may already have. First, what this is not
IIM Jammu now runs three different undergraduate management routes, and they're easy to confuse:

Eligibility
- Class 12: passed in 2024, 2025 or 2026 (or equivalent).
- Class 10: passed in 2022 or later.
- Minimum marks: 60% in both Class 10 and Class 12 — 55% for SC, ST and PwD candidates.
- Boards: students from international boards such as IGCSE and IB can also apply.
How admission works — three tests, one merit list
This is the genuinely new part. Instead of one mandated exam, IIM Jammu accepts any one of three scores:
- JIPMAT 2026, conducted by the NTA
- CUET 2026 — the General Aptitude Test
- JEE Main 2026
Because the three tests are scored on different scales, IIM Jammu uses your percentile, not your raw score. That puts a JEE Main taker and a JIPMAT taker on a comparable footing.
Why this matters: a student who took CUET or JEE Main this year — and never sat JIPMAT — now has a direct route into an IIM programme using a score they already hold.

How your board marks are scored
Board marks aren't used directly — they're converted into points by band:

Female and transgender candidates receive 5 gender-diversity points. Together, board marks carry 30 of the 100 points — and the bands are wide, so a student at 95.5% gains a full 2.5 points over one at 94.9% in each board. With no interview to change the outcome, those margins decide rank.
If composite scores tie, IIM Jammu ranks by test score, then Class 12, then Class 10, then earlier board appearance, and finally age (the younger candidate is ranked lower).
A year split between Leh and Jammu
The most distinctive feature of the programme is its calendar. Because Leh's winters are severe, students move between campuses through the year:

For families, this is worth understanding before accepting an offer: it means two campuses, two climates and a relocation twice a year.
Fees and offer acceptance
At the time of writing, IIM Jammu has not published a fee structure for the BBA (Hons.) on its programme pages — unlike its IPM and MBA, which both have fee pages. What the admission policy does confirm:
- An offer acceptance amount of ₹50,000, payable by the stipulated date and adjusted against the Semester I fee.
- Withdraw before registration and it's refunded minus ₹1,000 processing charges.
- Withdraw after registration and there is no refund of the acceptance amount or the semester fee.

Reservation
IIM Jammu follows Government of India reservation norms: SC 15%, ST 7.5%, NC-OBC 27%, EWS 10% and PwD 5%.
Who should consider it
- 2026 JIPMAT takers who missed the IPM cut-off — the same score now opens a second IIM Jammu door.
- CUET and JEE Main candidates who want a management degree from an IIM and never prepared for JIPMAT.
- Students with strong board marks, which carry 30% of the merit score.
- Students comfortable with a two-campus, high-altitude academic year — and families who have factored that in.
