Median CTC of the latest graduating batch and the share of the batch placed.
The parent institution's NIRF 2026 rank and the share of faculty with a PhD.
Median CTC divided by the total programme fee.
Applicants per seat and the rigour of the entrance route.
International immersion or exchange, mandatory internships and live projects.
Share of surveyed IPM aspirants who place the programme in their top three.
What keeps the ranking honest
- Each college sees its own compiled figures before publication and can correct them with evidence until 30 November 2026.
- A figure that is neither public nor confirmed by the college is scored at the lowest quartile for that parameter and marked "Not disclosed".
- Participation is free. Buying any IPM Careers service has no effect on rank, and our sales team has no access to scores.
- Any commercial relationship between IPM Careers and a ranked institution is disclosed beside that institution's row.
- An advisory panel of IIM alumni reviews the final list before publication. Their names are published with the rankings.
How to verify your programme's data
Your programme office will receive an email from Ashutosh Mishra, Co-founder of IPM Careers, with the figures we have compiled for your programme. Reply to confirm or correct them by 30 November 2026. A short reply confirming the figures is enough.

Questions colleges and students ask
Does a college pay to be ranked?
No. There is no fee to participate and no paid placement of any kind, now or later.
What if a college does not respond?
Every programme in scope is included so that students see a complete list. Programmes that do not respond are scored on public data, and any missing figure is marked "Not disclosed".
Which programmes are included?
Every five-year integrated management programme at an IIM or IIFT, and the BBA, BMS and integrated BBA+MBA programmes that admit through a national entrance test or draw a national applicant pool. Each row carries a type tag (IIM or IIFT, public university, private) so you can filter. A programme with no graduated batch is tagged 'New programme' and scored only on the parameters that apply.
How is aspirant preference measured?
Through a survey of IPM aspirants run by IPM Careers. The sample size and questions are published alongside the rankings.
