How to Secure Admission to the Integrated Programme in Law at IIM Rohtak

The Integrated Programme in Law (IPL) at IIM Rohtak is a unique blend of management and law education, designed to create future leaders with expertise in both domains. Admission Criteria

To apply for the IPL programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • General, NC-OBC, and EWS Category:
    • Minimum 60% in standard X/SSC and standard XII/HSC or equivalent examinations
    • Maximum 20 years of age as of June 30, 2024
  • SC, ST, and PWD (DAP) Category:
    • Minimum 55% in standard X/SSC and standard XII/HSC or equivalent examinations
    • Maximum 20 years of age as of June 30, 2024

Note: Candidates likely to complete standard XII by the end of June 2024 can also apply, provided they meet the minimum eligibility criteria after the declaration of results. If selected, such candidates will be offered admission provisionally and must produce X and XII standard mark sheets along with school leaving/migration certificate at the time of registration. Failing to do so will result in the cancellation of the admission offer.

The percentage of marks in X and XII Standard will be calculated based on the aggregate marks of the best five subjects, irrespective of the Board’s regulation. If grades are awarded instead of marks, the conversion to percentage will be based on the procedure certified by the Board/Competent Authority.

Selection Procedure

Stage I: Online Registration

  1. Interested candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria can register for the IPL batch 04 (2024-29) via the institute’s website.
  2. Applicants will be shortlisted based on scores in one of the following entrance exams:
    • CLAT 2024: Register using the CLAT Application Number and pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 4500.
    • IPM Aptitude Test (AT) 2024: Register for IPM AT 2024 and select the IPL Programme. Pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 4500. Candidates will appear for four sections in IPM AT 2024: Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, and Legal Reasoning.

Stage II: Shortlisting and Personal Interview

  1. Shortlisted applicants will be called for a Personal Interview (PI) based on minimum eligibility criteria and entrance exam scores.
  2. The announcement of PI calls is tentatively in the first week of June, with interviews held in the second week.
  3. During the PI, candidates will be evaluated on academics, general awareness, and communication skills.

Stage III: Announcement of Selection List

  1. The final Merit List will be based on composite scores from entrance exams, past academics, and PI.
  2. The merit list will be announced by the first week of July 2024, with admission offers made strictly based on merit and seat availability in each category.

Stage IV: Provisional Admission

  1. Selected candidates will receive a provisional offer letter and need to deposit Rs. 1,00,000 as the Offer Acceptance Amount (OAA) through the institute’s portal.
  2. Upon acceptance and payment of OAA, a confirmation letter will be issued. The OAA will be adjusted with the First Year Programme Fee.

Stage V: Reporting for Joining

  1. Candidates must report physically to the campus for registration and document verification.
  2. The academic session is expected to begin in the first week of August 2024.

Note: The admission criteria are subject to change, and all offers are provisional until all formalities are completed.

Refund Policy

  • Withdrawal requests must be submitted before the registration date. Fees, minus a Rs. 1000 processing fee, will be refunded within 150-180 days.
  • Requests must be submitted via the institute’s admission portal. No refunds are entertained after the registration date.
