IPM Exam
IIM Indore’s 5-year Integrated Program in Management-IPM Exams, a first-of-its-kind programme in India, was introduced in 2011. The programme combines two years of post-graduate study with three years of undergraduate study. IIM Rohtak and Nirma University introduced the programme on their respective campuses in 2019 following the successful completion and placement of all IPM batches at IIM Indore. IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Ranchi both introduced IPM, and the first batch will start in 2021. The programme is highly coveted by young aspirants because it gives them early entry into an IIM right after class 12.
Colleges offering IPM Program
An outstanding chance for young management aspirants to join the IIM community after class 12 itself is offered by one of India’s most coveted management colleges. A total of 15 terms—3 terms of 3 months each—are spread out over the course of the program’s five-year duration. At IIM Indore, IPM is divided into two parts: the first three years lay a foundation, and the final two years concentrate on management. Following three years of foundational disciplines, IPM students train as managers alongside those enrolled in the Institute’s two-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), taking the same management studies course sequence in years four and five. The participants receive the Dual Degree Program’s Bachelor of Arts (Foundations of Management) and Master of Business Administration degrees from IIM Indore after successfully completing the five-year Integrated Programme.
IIM Indore
The Indian Institute of Management, Indore, also referred to as IIM-I, was founded in 1996 and is the sixth IIM to be founded under the IIM legacy. IIM Indore is one of the well-known government B-schools in India with an autonomous status after being ranked 7 in the Management category by the NIRF India Ranking 2022. Along with several executive courses, PGP and PGPMX programmes are available at IIM Indore. The Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management, which is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), is the centerpiece programme at IIM Indore. In addition to this, the institute provides a wide range of cutting-edge programmes at the graduate and doctoral levels.
Indian Institute of Management, Indore has collaborated with a number of prestigious international business schools, including EM Lyon Business School in France, Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand, Asian Institute of Management in Manila, and Alba Graduate Business School in Greece.
IIM Rohtak-
One of the top business schools in the Delhi-National Capital Region is IIM Rohtak, also known as the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak (IIMR). One of the six Baby IIMs is the university. The PGP Program and Research Opportunities at IIM Rohtak are well-known. In the Management Category, IIM Rohtak is ranked 16th by NIRF 2022 and 21st by IIRF 2023.
PGP is the flagship programme offered by IIM Rohtak. Valid CAT scores and a personal interview are required for programme admission. IIM Rohtak recorded the highest CTC for batch 2023 at INR 36 LPA and the average CTC at INR 18.73 LPA.
IIM Ranchi-
The ninth IIM, IIM Ranchi, was founded in 2009 and was initially advised by IIM Calcutta. It is currently ranked 15 by the NIRF 2022. The IIM Ranchi’s flagship MBA programme, which accepts applicants through the CAT, is well-known. The candidates with a score of 92 percentile or higher will be shortlisted for the personal interview at IIM Ranchi.
The flagship MBA and IPM programmes at IIM Ranchi are well-known, and admission to these programmes is based on performance on the CAT, SAT, and IPMAT exams. The IIM Ranchi MBA programme costs INR 17.5 lakhs, with the highest package at IIM Ranchi costing INR 65 lakhs per annum.
IIM Bodh Gaya-
IIM Bodh Gaya was founded in 2015 and is one of the five IIMs established in India as part of the Union Budget of 2014. In August 2015, Smriti Irani, who was the human resources minister at the time, opened the first academic session. IIM Calcutta is serving as the institute’s mentor at the moment. The institution, which is the first third-generation IIM to have its own integrated campus, is situated on a 119-acre campus in Prabandh Vihar, Bodh Gaya.
The MBA class of 2021-23’s placement season at the institute has been successfully completed. The maximum package available was INR 48.58 LPA. The average and median salaries at IIM Bodh Gaya were INR 15.92 LPA and INR 15 LPA, respectively. The IIM Bodh Gaya placements 2023 attracted nearly 70 companies and featured 97 job offers. With the highest number of offers made, BFSI stood out as the top industry.
IIM Jammu
IIM Jammu is the newest IIM, having opened in 2016. NIRF 2022 placed IIM Jammu at number 36. IIM Jammu is well-known for its two-year flagship MBA programme, which accepts applicants via CAT. The cut-off at IIM Jammu is 90 percentile for males and 87 percentile for females. Candidates with a score above the 92 percentile, on the other hand, have a better chance of being selected for a personal interview via CAP.
The IIM Jammu MBA programme costs INR 17.51 lakhs for two years. IIM Jammu’s average package in 2023 was INR 16.43 LPA. IIM Jammu’s highest package was INR INR 64 LPA.
IIM Amritsar
IIM Amritsar, founded in 2015, is one of the new IIMs, also known as the baby IIMs. According to NIRF 2022, IIM Amritsar is ranked number 55. IIM Amritsar is well-known for its two-year flagship MBA programme, which accepts applicants via CAT. The overall cut-off at IIM Amritsar is around the 85th percentile.
IIM Amritsar’s MBA fee is INR 16 lakh for two years, and the average package for the 2023 batch was INR 16.51 LPA. Accenture, Amazon, Cipla, Deloitte, Adani, BMW, Cognizant, and other companies were among the top recruiters at IIM Amritsar in 2023.
IIFT
The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) in Delhi is a prestigious government college that specializes in international trade and business. IIFT Delhi is well-known for its faculty, research, and industry connections. The curriculum at the institute is designed to help students develop skills in areas such as international trade, finance, marketing, and economics. The institute has a large alumni network and offers students numerous internship, placement, and career development opportunities. IIFT Delhi MBA-IB fees are INR 21.77 Lakhs, while the average package at IIFT Delh is INR 29.1 LPA in 2023. IIFT Delhi was ranked ninth by the IIRF 2023 and twenty-fourth by the NIRF 2022. IIFT has campuses in Kolkata and Kakinada in addition to Delhi.
MBA in International Business is offered at IIFT Delhi on a full-time and weekend basis. Admission to the MBA-IB programme is determined by the IIFT Entrance Exam, which is followed by a group discussion, written test, and personal interview. At INR 85.40 LPA (International) and INR 75.5 LPA (National), IIFT Delhi had the highest CTC (Domestic).
TAPMI
TAPMI, or T. A. Pai Management Institute, was founded in 1980 and is one of India’s top management institutes. TAPMI, which is located in the tranquil hills of Manipal, was ranked 38th by NIRF 2022 and is one of 19 B-schools in India to be accredited by the AACSB. TAPMI offers MBA and PhD programme, but it is best known for its flagship MBA programme, which is available in General, HR, BKFS, Marketing, and International Business.
In 2022, the largest batch of 549 students across 5 MBA programmes was offered an average CTC of INR 12.6 LPA. TAPMI has an unbroken 100% placement record for many years. Admission to this programme is based on the results of National Level Entrance Tests such as the CAT, XAT, and GMAT, followed by an English Proficiency Test (EPT), Moderated Group Discussions (MGD), and a Personal Interview (PI). TAPMI CAT cutoff is typically around 95%.
NIRMA
Nirma University is a non-profit state private university founded in 2003. It is Gujarat’s first private university to offer graduate and postgraduate programmes, including a Ph.D. Nirma University is ranked 45th in the Management category and 100-150th in the University Category by NIRF 2022. Nirma University’s most popular programmes are its B.Tech and MBA programmes.
Nirma University admits MBA students based on their CAT scores, which are then followed by a PI and a Theme Development and Presentation Round. The fees for the 2-year MBA and MBA HRM programmes are INR 4.99 Lakhs, with the average package standing at INR 10.5 LPA and the highest package standing at INR 26 LPA at Nirma University Placements 2022. Furthermore, Nirma University charges around 8 lakhs for its four-year B.Tech programme. B.Tech admissions at Nirma University are based on the JEE Main Cutoff (All India Candidates) and the GUJCET (for Home State Candidates).
