- Students gave mixed reviews to the Verbal Ability section, which they rated as easy to moderate in difficulty. The section was easy for some, but difficult for others.
- The overall format remained consistent with the previous year’s exam, with two reading comprehensions (RC) of 6 questions each. One RC was regular in length, while the other was lengthy.
- Other sections of the VA section, like phrasal verbs and para jumbles, were particularly difficult and confusing, which may led to an increase in the English cutoff this year.
The VA section included questions on the following topics:

IPMAT 2023 Analysis
- The IPMAT Indore exam pattern remained unchanged; the QA – SA section had 15 questions, the QA – MCQ section had 30 questions, and the verbal ability section had 45 questions.
- The QA section was difficult, as per the student’s feedback. The questions were logic and conditional-puzzle-based rather than calculation-based. The weightage of arithmetic was reduced compared to that of last year.
- The VA section was the easiest of all sections in this session’s IPMAT question paper. The paper structure was exactly the same as seen in IPMAT Indore 2022. However, the major difference seen in this year’s paper was the absence of questions from idioms. More questions from phrasal verbs were asked.
